IMO, Georgetown as an athletics program, and University at large, stands at a fork in the road. I think there are 3 ways to be an academically elite school with athletics. You can choose the Duke path, the Northwestern path, or the Ivy League path: 🧵

I’m thankful to have a period of 20 years prior to compare this era to. My first visit was as a toddler in 2002. I didn’t visit WDW every year from ‘02 to 2019, but it was pretty close. The days of yearly trips are over because of the extremely noticeable decline.

honestly feel bad for people in their mid-twenties right now because their entire adult experience with Disney parks has basically been the pandemic era and the long recovery that followed. Talking like Disney is in permanent decline misses the bigger picture. The parks go through phases. The past 6 year stretch was shaped by a global shutdown and the messy rebound after it. Now that Disney seems to be entering a different phase, one where leadership, Imagineering, and the studios are finally aligned and most importantly have the budget, they should be able to do great work.

Not usually in my nature to feel this way. Just noticing a huge inconsistency. Gas prices went up a whole lot quicker, often overnight, then they seem to be coming down. If they can go up overnight bc the price of oil went up, why can’t they go down as quickly?

I have no sources at the Athletic to prove this, but here is what my gut tells me happened…
The Athletic said, “Show us your texts with Mike Vrabel so we can investigate, or you’re fired” and then, any only then, did Dianna Russini chose to resign.
She is protecting her “friend” because she knows there is evidence of tampering in those exchanges. She fell on the sword.
