U know my thoughts! Piss poor technique with runners on base! Blocking is difficult! But when your on a knee it limits your range and mobility and thats what we saw. Save your knees and frame that low pitch my ass! Raise the motherfu…. stadards! Load management is for pussies!

It’s truly mind boggling!
How can a @MLB catcher call for a breaking ball with the winning run on 3rd base and not block it?
Clearly it’s more difficult to block the ball from a 1 knee stance!
How anyone can argue that is beyond me!
Is stealing strikes really more important than winning games?

With the amount of gizmos, gadgets, data and analytics college coaches are now featuring with player development.
A reasonable person would assume they would understand limiting strikeouts offensively and limiting walks defensively would be overly obvious in the pursuit of winning.
Although it seems like the mad scientist laboratories are only being used to advance showcase measurables and not things that contribute to actually playing the game more fundamentally.
I know this is too basic and they wouldn't be trend setters if they focus on the basics.

Georgia Tech has the most dynamic offense in the country.
Why?
They have walked or been hit by pitch more than they strikeout.
Almost unheard of for a team to do this.
It advertises they have the best and most unselfish approach in the country.
Have any other teams in the country walked or been hit by pitch more than they strikeout.
Look at your favorite teams stats and see if they've done it. They're probably not even close.
Georgia Tech has an approach and they are all in.

Another high school coach said to me this week:
“You see kids committing D1 off exit velo, ‘upside’ and showcases…
Then you check the H.S. stats—and they’re hitting in the .100s.”
He asked:
“If you’re a D1 guy, shouldn’t you be lighting up H.S. pitching?”

On day 1 of my high school history class, our professor got up and said You are 15 or 16 years old. 200 years ago people your age were married, planted crops, had children, and built a cabin by winter. You can do your homework. The bar set for you historically is embarrassingly low. You are not dealing with regional famine or plague. You do not have to save your family from marauders or go into battle to destroy your enemies. You have to sit down and learn from someone who cares about you in a safe, air-conditioned room. You have no excuses.

Players: I'm all for guys wearing drip, playing with swag, and having a little flair.
I get it...I was all about the glove hand arm sleeve, double wrist tape, eye black, Oakleys on the hat (even during night games), always a 3/4 under the jersey, etc.
Look good, feel good, play good.
With that being said, if you're going to be wearing all that you better play your ass off and be a dirtbag.
You can't be dripped out and suck. 😂
