@Joe__Bassey The only people who fought and died for blacks were white. If not for them you’d still be in chains. Jewish ships were stopped by European whites to end slavery, but you blame whitey. This is complete ignorance. You carry on like the Jew who wants reparations for the holoHoax.

Christianity was built off the enslavement, torture, and unaliving of African people. This is not an opinion but facts. There are 9 churches that exist today built from the bones of real human beings. If Africans were building things from the bones and skulls of humans, we would call them primitives, but white people do the worst animalistic things and get away with it because we have adopted this belief that they are civilized people.

Plot twist? The way Odegaard plays is exactly what Arteta prefers. And I'll prove it. This was a picture taken just before the pass. Watch what Arteta is telling Eze. Calm down, recycle it. Eze doesn't listen, and we go 2 up. Odegaard turns back and recycles possession there.

Eze playing that pass instinctively into space for Gyokeres for Saka’s goal is what a 10 should do. Play it forward, take risks etc. That goal doesn’t happen if the Norwegian was on the pitch because he wouldn’t make that pass. He’s more retention focused

Bawumia might have the aura and popularity for the Presidency but can't go toe-to-toe with General Mosquito on the grassroots. Have you seen what Asiedu Nketiah did to him at the SDA event? Lol

I know I'm not a USD centimillionaire like P.O., but that's exactly what I did at my own level. The COS and 5-year UK work visa with pathway to ILR that you people spend years killing yourselves over is what I voluntarily gave up. My nice 2-bedroom terraced house in Cowgate, Newcastle with my manicured lawn in front, my beautiful garden at the back, and my little Fiat 500 parked on my driveway is what I gave up. The person who took the property after I left is also a Nigerian and he's here on Twitter. My comfortable £40,000/year Project Management role at an electric vehicle startup, with my office window directly facing St James' Park is what I gave up. Free tickets to watch Newcastle beat PSG in the Champions League is what I gave up. I had a life that many of you would consider to be the dream, and I gave it all up and came back to Africa for one simple reason - I cannot believe in 2 contradictory things at the same time. I cannot serve and exist inside the imperial system that I hate, then come here everyday to tell Africans to rebel against that system. That would make me a hypocrite. As soon as I understood the full ugliness of the empire I was always criticising, remaining there would have been the same thing as cosigning it with my labour, my money and my participation. If you believe in something, you should be willing to sacrifice for it and even take pain for it. And if I can hold myself to that standard, then I can definitely hold my would-be political leaders to that same standard. And if it's not "fair" to expect any sacrifice from them, then they should go buy an island villa in the Maldives and sip sherries for the rest of their days. Nobody is forcing anybody to be in politics and Peter Obi is not a deity that is above criticism. Mao Zedong once led his Red Army on a 6,000km foot trek during winter without food supplies. He used to go to sleep cold and hungry like his men. That's what it can take to be a revolutionary leader. Nobody is asking Peter Obi to do even 2% of that, so why do you people always get so defensive whenever his name is mentioned in any context except blind adulation? Why aren't we allowed to ask why the Nigerian political leader whose entire platform is built on revolutionary ideas does not want to do what it takes to bring those ideas to reality? And if he's too cool to lead poor bastards like us, then what is he doing there? Why do we need him? Is he a greater or more important leader than Chairman Mao?
Tochi@stephtochi

@DavidHundeyin It's easier to say things than to maintain them. You expect him to sell his properties abroad and come to Nigeria to start fighting for people who are not ready to be liberated.

Your parents have been married for close to 30 years. You don’t see them as role models for marriage, but two social media couples who got married and divorced in less than two years are making you scared to get married. You see that you don’t have sense.

A Nigerian man known as Bra Kofi in Ghana advised his fellow Nigerian after she asked him whether she could travel to Ghana with ₦2 million (GH₵16,280), rent a place, furnish it, and establish herself. He made it clear that the money wouldn’t be sufficient, explaining that after paying rent and furnishing her room in Accra, she would not have enough capital to start anything meaningful. This situation might force her to resort to illegal means, turning her into a problem for Ghana. He therefore advised her to stay in Nigeria and use ₦500,000 (GH¢4,070) for rent and invest the remaining ₦1.5 million (GH¢12,210) in a venture that would help her survive there.

@oseilyrical @AmountGhana @DzataOfficial Are you a fool? Do you know the number of Ashantis I’m friends with? I’m telling you something that goes on, that you if you had a functioning brain and a bit of introspection would also have an idea of but your stupid self thinks it’s hate. Why hate a certain people by default?

This is very sad to watch. But I do not blame the NPP communicator or his ignorance. I have encountered many Ashanti friends with similar mindsets, especially back in high school. Even in tertiary, a friend once said Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is more powerful than the President. No matter how hard we explained to him, he remained unconvinced. But in Level 400, he finally accepted that no chief can be more powerful than the President. Education is indeed the best antidote to ignorance. So I blame all of us for not teaching our history enough. The average Ghanaian knows very little about the Gold Coast or the migration history of our various tribes. For instance, the Gold Coast Colony establishment was established on 24th July 1874, and later, the Ashanti Region Crown Colony and the Northern Territories Protectorate were joined to it on 1st January 1902. That alone shows how layered our history is. The Ashantis migrated from Mali during the Arab invasion, settled in the Bono Region before establishing themselves where they are today. And beyond that, many do not know that the Guan people are the first settlers of the land. The point is simple: until we take our history seriously, ignorance will keep shaping conversations that should otherwise be informed. Say no to tribalism.

Anyone who believes the bible was used to enslave his continent has to be one of the dumbest dudes to walk the planet The Bible was not used to enslave Africa. Slave traders used selective misreadings of the Bible to justify what they had already decided to do for economic reasons. There is a difference. A big one. Slavery existed in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Arab world thousands of years before Christianity arrived on the continent. The Transatlantic Slave Trade was not a Bible project. It was a capital project. The same Bible that slaveholders quoted was the primary weapon abolitionists used to end slavery. Wilberforce, a devout Christian, spent 20 years in Parliament fighting to abolish the trade. Harriet Tubman, an enslaved woman, used her faith as fuel to free hundreds. The most prominent voices against colonialism and slavery in the 18th and 19th century were not atheists or traditionalists. They were Christians, many of them African Christians, who read the same Bible and concluded that slavery was an abomination before God. If the Bible enslaved Africa, what do you do with the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, which has held the Christian faith since Acts 8, centuries before Europe was Christianized? Did Ethiopia enslave itself? Did the Bible oppress Axum? The logic of “the colonizers brought it, so it must be a tool of colonization” does not survive contact with history. The colonizers also brought Western medicine, railways, and the English language. What actually oppressed Africa was not a book. It was guns, ships, economic incentives, political betrayal by local collaborators, and a global system designed to extract. The Bible was the costume worn by that system, not the engine driving it. If someone uses a hammer to commit murder, the hammer is not a murder weapon. It is a tool that was misused. You do not throw away every hammer in existence. You hold the man accountable. Hold the slaveholders accountable, not the scriptures they twisted. Rejecting the Bible because Europeans misused it is doing exactly what they want, surrendering your own ability to encounter truth because of what someone else did with it. That is not decolonization. That is just a different kind of intellectual captivity. This is 2026, stop all this nonsense takes. Read or just admit you prefer idol worshipping to the bible and stay there.

More details about the $109 million U.S deal Ghana rejected: 1. It is reported that the deal would have required Ghana to hand over Ghanaians’ health data for 25 years, even though their aid would have lasted for only 5 years. 2. During that 25-year period, Ghana would not have been able to question how the data was being used. 3. It is also reported that part of the deal would have prevented the Ghana FDA from scrutinizing certain medicinal products from the U.S. In other words, if a product had already been registered in the U.S, the Ghana FDA would not have had to conduct further checks before it entered the Ghanaian market. 4. Beyond all this, Ghanaian officials were reportedly given just one week to sign the MOU.
