Now I’ve obtained the footage - children are pushed into rooms, pinned up against walls with rugby pads and left in vomit

However, article says it occurred 2014-17 so does it actually mean “we STILL have much further to go” - an end date implies this stopped 5 years ago. We may have further to go , but that cannot be concluded from this article

The abuse at Whitefield is truly shocking, and reveals the litany of failures of safeguarding in special schools and shows we still have so much further to go as a society in our care for its most vulnerable. It is an inditement of successive governments that this is still allowed to occur. Rooting out this abuse should be at the very top of any care minister’s in-tray, and central to all their thinking.

It's been confirmed that the RNLI were spotted visually & by Channel radar in the early evening of 16th June going over into French Channel waters to collect some 40 migrants on a French warship. It appears the migrants were rescued earlier but the French wouldn't take them back
