The ARC is able to rule on boundary line decisions if they are clear cut & made before the ball comes back into play. The issue was they ruled Jack Martin took the ball out when it was about to be thrown in. So they had plenty of time to make the call. Atkins was wrongly paid a free kick but immediately played on so even if they had judged it as incorrect it was too late to intervene.

A tough night for the Brisbane lions: 10 players missing, but nothing worked. The turnovers and laziness was the worst they’ve played in 5 years. It felt they knew it was lost before it started. The biggest concern is the how lazy the forwards were. Dayne Zorko needed to show more poise and leadership being the leader of that back 6. The two key recruits couldn’t get going, Sam Drape first game in over 12 months and Oscar Allen it was just a tough night Kiddy Coleman looks a bit lost. we can’t blame him, 2 years out with ACLs, but he couldn’t get it going.
