Being Trans is Biological Most people think biology ends at genitals. That assumption collapses the conversation before it starts. TERFs are wrong. They don’t know science or they ignore it. Human development unfolds through multiple processes across different timelines. Bodies and brains develop separately under different conditions responding to different signals. Genitals form early in pregnancy, roughly the first trimester. The structures appear quickly and visibly, which is why people fixate on them. The brain does something entirely different. It develops over a much longer period throughout pregnancy and well after birth. The regions involved in identity, self perception, and how a person understands themselves come later and form gradually. That gap changes everything. Hormones arrive in waves. They affect different systems at different times with different intensities. Timing, sensitivity, and receptor function all shape outcomes. When one system develops along one pathway and another develops along a different one you get biological variation. The same process behind everything from eye color to handedness. Brain imaging studies have demonstrated this repeatedly. In areas of the brain linked to gender identity trans people consistently show patterns that align with who they know themselves to be rather than the sex assigned at birth. These patterns appear before any medical transition. They reflect how the brain developed in utero and early life. That part makes people uncomfortable but discomfort doesn’t change facts. Being trans comes from how a human nervous system formed before language, memory, or choice existed. Some people have brains that developed along male typical patterns while their bodies developed along female ones. Some experience the reverse. Some fall outside either category entirely. Human development produces this variation the same way it produces left handedness, intersex traits, or red hair. The crisis exists because some people insist bodies must be read one way and brains ignored entirely. Fear disguised as certainty. Ideology masquerading as biology. This is ordinary human development described honestly. The science supports trans people. The neurobiology supports trans people. The developmental timeline supports trans people. Anyone claiming otherwise either hasn’t read the research or chose to dismiss it. Trans people exist because biology varies, it’s as simple as that. No opinions no culture wars. No debates. Terfs have lost the moment they mention biology.
