Yes support them in the shutting down, but when they opened up too early this wa s starkers chance to make a name for himself by opposing and supporting actual science

@SorchaEastwood I thought from the start it was always going to end badly. There was no relief about the change. Even in opposition Starmer U-turned and had poor judgement. What surprised me was how much disliked a man who won a 'landslide'.

Immediately after the General Election I said to a well renowned senior BBC journo in London that the Starmer administration didn't feel stable. He didn't laugh at me, but he just repeated the majority that Starmer had. I said I'm from Northern Ireland, believe me, I know a shaky government when I see one lol. But it was more that the support was a mile wide and an inch deep. And Starmer didn't keep it in the middle. Almost as soon as they were through the door, manifesto commitments were ripped up, winter fuel gone etc. It was a continuation of 14 years of misery. And it's caught up with them. It's so regrettable, but we warned and shouted repeatedly.

@_CatintheHat Good - they are recommending respirators. Can't seem to bring themselves to recommend the same for covid, though. Recommending a precautionary approach? That would be NOT disembarking passengers. We appear to all have parts in the film "Idiocracy"

Testing positive without symptoms brings up a number of questions Is this an asymptomatic case or someone that hasn’t developed symptoms yet but is already shedding virus and this was picked up because of daily testing And what does this mean for the possibility of transmission without symptoms - pre or asymptomatic transmission #Hantavirus

Lesson from Covid… by the time you realize that you need mandatory quarantines and mass testing… it’s too late for those measures to be fully effective. Waiting until people become symptomatic to test/ isolate is a bandaid on a hemorrhage.

@1goodtern Yes. The public has been conditioned AWAY from science since 2019... dramatically so, in many areas. This will become profoundly problematic when we all need to work together... relying on scientific measurements and data as our focal point.😵‍💫🤦🏼‍♀️

@1goodtern The ones who fought for pandemic preparedness before Covid, were disregarded until moments before Covid was declared a pandemic. Those people have given up and retired; those who ignored the pandemic pushed themselves into leadership positions.

Since no one else seems to be doing it, I am identifying American passengers on the MV Hondius and finding out where they live. In addition to the three in New York State (NYC, Orange and Westchester counties) Kathy Hochul has disclosed, I have identified two more passengers so far from: Las Vegas, Nevada and King County, Washington Not going to name the people or offer personal details, but let's see if these states issue any statements. Will update if I find more. We also know about the returning doctor in Bend, Oregon but let's assume he's a good quarantiner.

The 12 members of staff at the Dutch hospital made procedural errors during the blood draw and disposal of urine from the patient contaminated with hantavirus. They will be placed in quarantine for 6 weeks.

@outbreakupdates @deWittJohan They probably went home by bus, tram, metro 🙄... Because we do self-isolation at home with all familymembers cosy at home. Just 1,5 mtr distance, probably no N95 masks or HEPA ventilation at home. And partners and kids are going to work and school tomorrow. No worries! 🤫

@outbreakupdates What do you mean by procedural errors? Like they didn’t wear ppe I’m assuming? Ever since covid has rotted peoples brains a lot of hcws who used to follow ppe rules correctly before the pandemic have stopped unfortunately
