@davepl1968 I use the Air Console myself, not sure if it's what your talking about here. I use it mostly for an IP connection, but you can make a virtual COM port and use it with serial devices too.

I’m trying build a wireless serial cable, because none exists. I just want to plug into one end, and it wirelessly bridges to the other end up to wifi range. I ordered the parts I think I need (MAX3232 and ESP32). Apparently, there’s something really hard about it, but no one can tell me why they don’t exist, so it’s time to find out or make one! The commercially available MAX232-TTL bridges don't expose hardware flow control, that's the only hurdle I know of, so I bought full MAX3232 breakouts. They support two pairs per chip, so I should be able to do RX/TX and RTS/CTR. Anyone know why these don't exist yet? Or do they?

Something younger generations won't believe: Companies used to publish their contact information and encourage customers to call. Customer service departments actually answered the phone and were staffed with real humans who were smart and could solve problems. Not hyperbole!

I’m starting to believe that a lot of these “influencers” who feign fear over nuclear war aren’t actually afraid of nukes at all. While any person with a heart will obviously not want nuclear devastation, these “influencers” want to trade ordinary peoples’ fears for money. Subscribe to their channels and pay them dollars so they can tell you to be afraid of nukes. All the while perhaps they themselves are actually only afraid of Putin losing his power. Because they admire his autocracy. Imagine the jolt of happiness they get watching Russian tanks role into sovereign nations killing and slaughtering civilians. They admire being able to do that. It’s why they never use their platforms to speak out against the kremlin. They don’t fear nukes or NATO. They fear a downfall of autocracy. Because deep down inside they want to be those Russian soldiers raping children and killing women and beheading POWs. They think it’s based to have that kind of temporary power over another person.
