@womenxfootball @Hungoverr1 I think, they've lost it. Still a very strong league with some superstar players. But most of the best players are coming to play in Europe. Like most of the US top girls are playing overseas nowadays, which was unthinkable 10 years ago.

@Hungoverr1 Agree mostly. But at least for the NWSL, I think it's more than just money. I think there's a lot of players that see this "allure" of playing in the US, especially somewhere like sunny California

Feel right now the WSL and NWSL are the only leagues where teams from top to bottom in the table can convince players from top teams to sign with them

They are expanding the league every other year right now. Even teams not from the top can afford and can attract very good players. What is it if not development?

Neither Buli or LigaF wants to use money on the clubs. In England the situation is different, zero focus on developing players and just get the talents from the other nations. Just like PL.

@dahe_82 @dw_sports Flexing about beating fourth best team in the league lol. Proving her point basically. Chelsea at least got a draw against Barca earlier this year, City and Arsenal had wins last year. Bayern got their ass kicked 7-1 and we'll see how well they will do in semis.

@itsAgnesA_ @dw_sports The reality is quite different, as evidenced by Chelsea winning 9 WSL titles in 11 seasons, and English clubs winning only 2 WCL titles despite the amount of money they spend.
