@RACGPPresident I give a lot of people private scripts for 6 months supply. Ie 180 tabs of atorvastatin on a private script is $40 from some chemists.

It's time that government stood up to the powerful Pharmacy Guild. By extending the length of prescriptions + allowing a larger supply of medicines we can save patients up to $180 a year. People everywhere are hurting from cost of living pressures. Let's get this done. #pharamcy

I dont know why Acrrm makes life so difficult for GP registrars. Talking to yet another Reg yesterday who is looking at swapping to RACGP, who seem to now be more rural friendly than ACRRM. 🙄

@pennydee Having to do so much ED training in a city. Having to do ED log books that are undoable for most people. Haveing an Ed ast exam that seems overly hard(for NSW registrars)

The average ED presentation is $550+ & hours long. A standard consult with a GP is less than $50, lasts <30mins and promotes continuity, preventative care & longer life expectancy. Tell me again why we aren’t shifting our investment into Primary Care? 🩺🏥🩻 @Mark_Butler_MP

If you have a ‘medical emergency’, you will definitely be seen as if you have a medical emergency. If you have a ‘medical situation that you would prefer to be treated like an emergency’, and it’s not, you will still be seen. But maybe bring a good book to help pass the time?
