All due respect, there has never been another kid like Bethea. On the fringe of the Top 15 in a '25 class loaded with one-and-done NBA lotto picks. The two you mentioned were not close to that pedigree or that level of athlete. I completely agree with Oats' assessment and usage of him, though. Right now he's just a super elite athlete, not a basketball player.

Nate Oats is no dummy. Jalil Bethea has gotten 4 minutes even with Aden Holloway out. Big "what if" regarding Bethea's preseason injury that bled into nonconference play. But there's always been a disconnect between what (many) Bama fans and coaches think of him this season.

Very concerned about this storm through Central North Carolina. Most of us will get enough ice to cause big problems. Plan to be where you'd like to be by early Saturday afternoon. A few inches of sleet coated by heavy ice will make travel extremely difficult through next week. Power outages could last a long time given the size and intensity of this storm. @WFMY #ncwx
