This video does an excellent job of illustrating the significant improvement in safety that the #ActiveTO Complete Street has brought to Midtown Yonge St. Let's make this pilot permanent so the close-calls (and crashes) which were such a regular occurrence can remain in the past.

@DonCycle Went from NEVER shopping on Yonge to making multiple trips north of Bloor in the last few days. Completely changes the feel of the street for the better. New destination for us.

11 years ago, Emily and I started a cycling advocacy group in Midtown Toronto... One decade, 3 elections, a rebrand to @CycleToronto , dozens of volunteers, hundreds of letters, many council votes and consultations, and one pandemic later... there are now bike lanes on Yonge!
