So Nate The Hate is saying an Ocarina Of Time Remake is coming later in the year. I am still skeptical about this and have a few thoughts. 1. First off whose making it, no way it can be the Zelda team they are preoccupied with the next Zelda? What team internally has the skill level to pull it off? 2. A remake as opposed to a remaster would take 4 to 5 years and youd have to fundamentally rethink every convention in the game and would require a crap ton of resources. 3. Surely this isnt their big holiday game if it does exist? or they release it in October. Ocarina Of Time is my third favourite game behind RE4 Remake and Super Metroid, I love it to death but let's be real no way can this go toe to toe with GTA 6, and if I have to pick one game during Xmas I am 1000% picking GTA 6 over a remake of Ocarina Of Time and I guarantee many others will too. My belief was always an updated version of Ocarina Of Time on 3DS was more plausible.

@naval I just don’t think this is true. There might be interactive experiences like this, a new kind of medium, but it won’t be a game.

Future games will be made “for you” on the fly, generating gameplay and content based on your micro-engagement.

I think it’s becoming pretty clear that the deep anti-American bias of Canadian culture, politics, and media has badly malformed this country’s understanding, response, and coverage of the tariff crisis in a way that’s just made that crisis worse.

Here’s an interesting thought exercise: if there were no Canadian provinces AT ALL… like, if we were just one giant unified country with one set of laws for everything, do you think that would represent a net benefit to the Canadian economy?

I'm glad we started a conversation about the Woke Right. It's not a term I've ever been particularly attached to. As I've said before the Barbarian Right, Nietzschean Right, Dissident Right etc are all useful for highlighting different aspects of the same thing and may be more useful. In fact, given how many people are upset by it, I hereby withdraw the term “Woke Right”. On one condition: you provide a better term to describe the fringe of the Right which replicates every key aspect of wokeness: - thinking the West is bad and siding with its enemies - playing identity politics on the basis that their group is oppressed by a secret invisible force controlled by another group/groups - having an obsession with group-based victimhood and grievance - seeking to revise and pervert history to fit its ideological narrative - reacting to disagreement with name-calling, ostracism and bullying - creating a culture of fear among more centre-leaning people on their side to prevent criticism (you should see how many people message me privately to say they agree about the Woke Right but don’t want to say anything) Looking forward to all your suggestions :)
