Many data science tutorials give very clear outcomes on very clean data. Good for learning. Not at all common in business. Data is messy. Outcomes may be ambiguous, but even crystal clear ones don't always get supported. DS reality != DS tutorials (still love it though)

the big thing that i’ve learned from being an ml engineer…. … is that you often don’t need ml to actually solve business problems ml is really great at solving a small subset of problems in a business and very rarely do most businesses have the right building blocks to apply ml

@HamelHusain And most hyping AI software/solutions have a vested financial interest in doing so. Reminds me of the crypto craze. I keep waiting for some AI solutions to bubble up as leading contenders for value creation in the space, but instead new thing after new thing gets released.

For a long time, I was afraid of starting a business because I thought I had to turn into a car salesman type to be successful. Instead, my business is almost 5 years old and runs solely on referrals. Someone gets value from what I do, they share it, and the cycle repeats.
