Another thing that radicalised me on car finance was the realisation that for people who own their cars through their Ltd company, the car is a taxable expense which reduces their tax liability. Compare that to someone who is paying for a car personally on finance AFTER the government taxed them. The rich are playing a completely different game.

I know there has been lots of banter surrounding this but it’s not funny. Cars can become a huge financial burden on your and completely ruin the trajectory of your wealth. Ensure you’ve built solid foundations before you buy. That means; Good pot of savings, pension, house or saving for one, no debt and good solid income levels. ONE bad move could cripple you for a lifetime! Stay blessed. Stay safe.

Just to confirm on the financed cars… We don’t over leverage. We don’t buy on impulse. We don’t buy what we cannot afford comfortably. We don’t max out our budget. We don’t buy unnecessarily. We don’t finance more than 1 car per household. Some simple rules to follow 🚗💰✅

If you’re saying people shouldn’t finance their car due to not being able to afford it cash, then you also shouldn’t get a mortgage on a house. Because…let’s be honest, most cannot afford their mortgage either! Terrible logic.

@_Unknown_D_ Completely agree. I’ve always owned my cars outright, the one time I used finance was on a loan at 2.7% interested that I paid off years early. Some of the payments people are doing monthly only to have nothing to show for it at the end is crazy…

Anyone on a £32K salary and locked into a car finance of £500/month contract isn’t just financially irresponsible but a fool with a thinking capacity of a fish. Whatever happened to buying a £4K Fiat Fiesta with their 2-3 months cash savings?
