You can tell how bad the weather has been as I have four spaces outside my house and this is the current line up… Looking forwards to swapping them all out for classics and convertibles soon though! ☀️🕶️

Yes, a dark purple Octavia vRS Estate is every bit as wonderful as you’d expect. Hadn’t realised you could get this as a factory colour, either!

Last year we lost a THIRD of our refineries. Under Labour, crippling Carbon Taxes are killing off our heavy industry. Leaving us more reliant on foreign imports just as the world gets more dangerous. Economic suicide.

Britain didn't just keep the "Sovereign Base Areas" on Cyprus upon "independence" in 1960 (3% of island) They also kept 13 "retained sites" inside Cyprus proper This includes the US-UK spy station at RAF Troodos Cypriot government could shut it down tomorrow, if they wished

Total stupidity. What this will mean is that places like Dubai will no longer hire Brits (unless they effectively pay them double) and the billions of trade and decades of building relations will be wiped out because of some socialist idiots
Furkan Gözükara@FurkanGozukara

The UK is considering an American style global tax regime. If you move to zero tax havens like Dubai, you will still be forced to pay British income tax for the privilege of holding a UK passport and getting embassy protection. The tax loopholes might finally close.

Iranian oil has been sanctioned for many years. The 140 million barrels he is referring to are part of the "dark fleet" that has been shipping Iranian oil to Asia (mainly China) for years. Iran gets money for oil, and China buys it at a discount. So, this oil already exists in the world market. It doesn't matter who buys it, or under what scheme (sanctioned through a dark fleet or legitimate open market sale), as a barrel sold anywhere, for whatever reason, adds to world supply. To emphasize, these barrels are already part of the world supply. These barrels are not randomly floating in a tanker on some ocean (for years?), waiting for sanctions to be lifted before they can be sold and offloaded. By allowing oil to be unsanctioned, all Bessent is doing is allowing Iranian oil to be sold to places like Japan or South Korea. In other words, all he did was raise the price of Iranian oil because they now have more bidders. He just made Iran wealthier and did nothing for the price of crude oil.

@SonerCagaptay It’s pitching for Turkey to join SEPA because it can effectively apply sanctions to Turkey in the future. In the same way Turkey has no control of its external trade policy, it slowly won’t have control over its payments system. But sure Soner. Global identity 😂😂😂

Ok…Have had this data for 3 weeks using Claude and Grok to corroborate and double check. MS may have had it then too, but then had to submit it for compliance review and approval…if someone is *just* getting enlightened that this Iran thing is about more than just oil and gas, they are not taking their investing seriously…. I literally have a 15-20 page report with this info, a base case timeline, and optimistic timeline and a pessimistic timeline for when these issues truly come to a head. If you are not incorporating AI into your workflow in some way, you are already behind.

@kbalian90 The Turks? 🙂 Izmir was set on fire by Torkom and his gang. This Armenian gang, originally from Cilicia, was sent to Izmir by the Greeks to fight against the Turks in Western Anatolia after becoming unemployed due to the agreement the French made with the Turks.

Ernest Hemingway wrote about the burning of the port city of Smyrna, which was set on fire in 1922 during the Greco-Turkish War under the command of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, in order to completely eradicate the Christian presence in Anatolia. Over 100,000 Greeks and Armenians were killed. "The worst, he said, were the women with dead babies. You couldn’t get the women to give up their dead babies. They’d have babies dead for six days. You couldn’t get them to give them up. Nothing you could do would make them give them up."
