What Starmer has done is far bigger than himself. He promised transparency, and that is what we have got. Starmer has exposed the rotten system: a pretend democracy where politicians say whatever it takes to win, then walk all over us once in power. They used to be more discreet, but he went full dictator, and millions now see the truth. Starmer and his kind are not public servants. They are a self-serving class addicted to power, perks, perversions and lies, all while laughing at us. Trust in politicians is dead. They are soiled goods. They have lost our trust. Like an unfaithful partner, we will never look at them the same way again. The days of politicians having an easy ride are over.

The whipping system makes a farce out of the whole process. MPs should vote according to what they believe is right. The whipping system must be reformed and protections for conscience votes should be strengthened. The next government should shift to an electoral system that gives MPs independence from corrupt leaders. As it stands, the entire system stinks.
