Same with @onlinewhiskey, which is one of his backup accounts. This one also has had many different usernames. If you were scammed by one of these, it's all the same thief. #ScamAlert

@drams_s I have a theory that the value of flipping has peaked and now on the slide. Lockdown put more cash in everyone’s pocket and therefore flippers had more cash and so did the bidder. No lockdown = less spare dosh

@whiskytip @awhiskybond The @Springbank1828 packaging issue might be at play here too. 🤷🏻‍♂️ The Kilkerran 16 already came in tubes and now so do the premium releases i.e. SB18 and Longrow18. That leaves the SB12CS and they publicly stated that there was a supply issue with boxes for packaging! So maybe!

I am shocked at how hard it is to get a hold to of the Springbank 12, can’t be arsed chasing. I bought my last bottle from Cadenheads in Edinburgh and walked to Royal Mile and It was on the self… times have changed.

@MaltMancunian @whisky_brers @awhiskybond @Ardbeg @Springbank1828 I thought I read somewhere that Ardbeg found a new breed of flippers after the investigation - retailers/stores sending full cases to auction. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Auction aside, price gouging & inside sales of limited releases is rampant by some official distributors/retailers of @Springbank1828

@whisky_brers @awhiskybond I seem to remember @Ardbeg and @Springbank1828 launching an investigation last year about how whole cases of limited releases were found in auction houses. Both said they’d comment on what they found and there’s been nothing said at all.

32% price difference. This is what goes unsaid in whisky. These £5, £10, £15 price differences on bottles around £50 to £70 are huge percentage swings!!
