@AndreaHorwath @fordnation I find it disappointing that Sick Kids specifically stated that kids need to be able to return safely to school for their mental health. Yet this plan is forcing some parents to continue to keep them out of school.

I hesitated over sharing something so personal, but he is now a statistic in this pandemic. Like countless others, it is hard knowing he died alone and was without visitors these last few weeks. I can only hope that his advanced dementia sheltered him from this cruel knowledge.

I am heartbroken to share that my uncle was among those who died of COVID-19 in a long-term care facility today. Earlier this year, I thought about how it was a blessing he and my aunt no longer divided their time between Toronto & Wuhan, where they lived for most of their lives.
