(1/2) Due to earlier Amtrak overhead wire issues in Penn Station New York, NJ TRANSIT rail service is subject to up to 30-minute delays into and out of Penn Station New York.

EXCLUSIVE: Noncitizens in New Jersey were on the voter rolls for years — and some even cast ballots before asking to be removed, according to documents obtained through public records requests. Records reviewed by the NJGOP and RNC show multiple noncitizens seeking citizenship told election officials they were unknowingly registered to vote, with several pointing to the DMV as the source. Most had no voting history, but county records show at least some voted in elections before being removed from the rolls. The records were uncovered after Republicans requested voter roll data from all 21 New Jersey counties and are drawing renewed attention to how noncitizens were registered and what safeguards could be put in place to catch the errors sooner.

During yesterday's Climate Superfund Act hearing, @Dennis_Hart noted that Chevron, Hess, Valero and Sunoco all left New Jersey. @RaviBhalla's response? "Good." When @MikeInganamort asked about the jobs that left with them, Bhalla doubled down: "We don't want those jobs." For the families who depended on those paychecks, that's a remarkable thing to hear from a New Jersey lawmaker. Listen to the exchange. 👇

More money for deportation defense lawyers. A utility bill "freeze" at record-high rates. That's the affordability agenda? @GovSherrillNJ seems willing to spend whatever it takes to fight deportations, but when it comes to lowering costs for New Jersey families, the answer is always "maybe later."

NEWS: We are increasing funding for the Detention Deportation Defense Initiative by $12 million – for a total of $20.2 million. We are also launching a Rapid Legal Response Initiative to expand statewide legal capacity for emergency immigration defense and support immigrant families across New Jersey. These actions will help ensure more people in New Jersey's communities receive due process under the law and more New Jersey attorneys are mobilized to stand up for the fundamental human rights of detainees and their families.

99% KALSHI PROJECTION: The NJ-07 House matchup will be between Democrat Rebecca Bennett and Republican Thomas Kean Jr. Bennett has an 80% chance to win

This bill was just dropped by Democrat lawmakers. A 100% tax rate tells you everything you need to know about how some politicians think. They know you earned the money. They just think it’s theirs. Today it's a group they dislike. Tomorrow it could be anyone. Once government claims the power to take 100% of your income, the debate is over. They've decided your property rights exist only at their discretion. The precedent is terrifying.

Coordinated supply operation exposed at Delaney Hall ahead of protests. Agitators outside the Delaney Hall detention facility in New Jersey were seen establishing a highly organized logistics and support operation before protests began at the site. Stockpiles of masks, duct tape, hard hats and medical supplies were laid out near the facility. Delaney Hall has been at the center of a standoff after detainees alleged abuse and poor conditions, claims DHS denies.

Sen. Andy Kim "hugely concerned" ICE protests in New Jersey could spiral like Minneapolis: "I've not seen my state with this level of precariousness during my entire time in elected office."

A trio of Democratic state legislators in New Jersey say they are drafting legislation to put a 100% tax on New Jersey residents who receive funds from President Trump’s $1.776 billion “Anti-Weaponization Fund," @danieljhan_ is reporting. According to George Washington University, there were 46 January 6 defendants from New Jersey — with most being convicted or pleading guilty. State Senator @AndrewZwicker said he would introduce legislation in the upper chamber, with Assemblymembers @RaviBhalla and @katiebrennan_32 planning on introducing legislation in the lower chamber.
