Some things are getting glossed over with this MOU. The rollout is simply insulting to people who have worked their asses off to support the Trump admin. It is the duty of Americans to question authority. It is the duty of authority to explain themselves. The MOU invites questions. It certainly looks like we are enriching terrorists in the hopes that they will stop being terrorists. This has succeeded exactly zero times in history. Instead of adequately addressing people’s concerns the administration accused those with questions of “idiotic neo-conservatism” or “foreign influence.” The irony that Benny Johnson, who actually has received foreign money was spearheading this is not lost on many. The rapidity in which the administration circled its social media heckler wagons is telling. When you have this much trouble selling it, the product is more of a problem than the pitch.

Only through Vance’s leadership and vision could we have ever arrived at a moment when Gulf diplomats excoriate America for stabbing Israel in the back. Mr. Vice President, you have dreamed the impossible dream, you have, and brought it to life. Bravo.
