Excited to share our latest work with the bullock lab! We looked at how diverse mRNAs get selected for subcellular localization and it turns out that a single protein can recognize different RNA elements using shared features that weren’t apparent before. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Excited to share our new @ScienceMagazine paper! Led by postdocs Ruchao Peng and Xin Xu, we used cryo-EM/ET to reveal the influenza ribonucleoprotein complex structure and its strand-sliding mechanism for RNA synthesis, paving the way for new antivirals. science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Truly honored that our work was highlighted as one of many applications where #Alphafold has had an enormous impact. As someone who quickly became obsessed with Alphafold during the early days, it’s particularly special to get recognized by scientists whom I greatly admire.
