And that’s a wrap! I taught my final weed science lecture of the semester @UofGuelphOAC . I had a lot of fun, learned a lot myself and got to know a great group of students. The future of ag is in good hands!

Any #pumpkin experts want to trouble shoot this one… I’m thinking pyrethroid sensitivity- sprayed 5 days ago with Danitol and Parasol. Command was used PRE on part of the field but not all and this bleaching is on both sides. Major varietal differences from 0 to 30% bleaching.

Another odd request for the X Ag group. Working on a research project and I’m in need of a single strip till unit for a couple of passes or anyone local to Alma, Arthur, Elora that would have a 4 row unit they could rip off a couple acres for some cash?

Alright Ag X folks! Looking for a recommendation on a multi spectral drone. What’s out there? Bonus points if there is some who will call me or email me back. I’ve emailed 3 different companies with no reply (maybe my business email flagged by spam?)

@JonFraserTF Because the current PM knows that the average farmer sees through him and his party and won’t vote for them.

My top account manager is in town from Regina with her husband for the Jay's opening weekend. Her husband is a farmer who grows canola, lentils and Durham wheat on rotation. We chatted over drinks yesterday about the challenges he's facing right now. I already knew about the 100% tarrif that China has placed on canola and it hurt him because he had planned on planting canola this year. What I was surprised about was that his other two crops also have tarrifs on them. The US is the biggest purchaser of Durham wheat and it is obviously facing a 25% tariff. The one I was surprised about was lentils. The biggest market for lentils is India and guess what? India has tariffs on Canadian lentils. Farmers are the backbone of our country. Without them we become completely dependent on imported food. With all the talk of buying Canadian and becoming food independent, how can we be doing nothing to help our farmers and in the case of Chinese tariffs, our fisheries and pork producers? Madness.

Disappointing to see @uofg praising Vandana Shiva as a graduate renown for her "outstanding achievements and contributions." Unless they are referring to negative achievements and contributions - of which she has many. You can do better, @UofGuelphOAC uoguel.ph/gqvll

Criminals did not get your message. Our communities are experiencing a 45% increase in shootings and a 62% increase in gun-related homicides compared to this time last year. What difference does your handgun ban make when 85% of guns seized by our members can be sourced to the United States? Your statement is out of touch and offensive to victims of crime and police officers everywhere. Whatever you think you’ve done to improve community safety, has not worked. @JustinTrudeau
Justin Trudeau@JustinTrudeau

Two years ago today, we froze the handgun market and stopped handguns from being bought, sold, or transferred anywhere in Canada. We choose your safety over the gun lobby — every time.

Tried Truslate herbicide in the wheat this year and pretty happy with the results. Clean fields, clean straw, setting us up for clean cover crops and beyond. Paired with Miravis Neo & Moddus and we’ve got a rocking crop of wheat @NufarmCA @syngentacanada

Justin Trudeau told Canadians things would be better, instead, they’ve gotten worse.   Families are losing their homes, landlords are making record profits and rents have doubled.   Our movement is going to take power away from greedy CEOs and give it back to people.

3 Reasons Canadian Gun Owners Should Remain Optimistic About the Future 🇨🇦 Under @JustinTrudeau and the Liberals, law-abiding gun owners have experienced, arguably, the largest, most sustained and unprovoked attack on our community in recent memory, and all by no fault of our own. It's been a tough time for hunters and sport shooters, to say the least. In the end, however, it might all be worth it, since it could finally settle the #guncontrol debate in Canada, once and for all. 👇 1. The Gun Bans Have (Very) Noticeably Failed Even with the @Liberal_Party's American-style politics with near-constant rhetoric aimed at licensed firearms owners, the PMO's scandalous interference into the #NovaScotia massacre investigation, and eventual banning of hundreds of thousands of hunting and sporting rifles in May 2020... Violent crime committed with illegal guns got noticeably worse, with the country seeing unprecedented shootings and the highest murder rate in thirty (30) years. nationalpost.com/news/canada/vi… 2. Crime Guns Sources are Better Understood After Public Safety Minister @MarcoMendicino presented the governments 'handgun freeze' legislation to the House of Commons, the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security and the Senate, he told Canadian media that Liberal Bill C-21 was ‘Canada's most significant legislation on gun violence in a generation.’ When the vast majority of experts disagreed, providing historical data and expert witness testimony, a frustrated Mendicino accused Conservative MPs and Senators of delaying the passage of the bill, saying ‘study the bill, debate the bill, and pass the bill, so we can end gun violence once and for all.’ Eventually, the bill was passed. As predicted, it has had no significant impact on criminal violence or gun crime, which continues to this day. On the positive side, the process generated discussion among thousands of non-gun-owning Canadians and presented them with a large amount of peer-reviewed data, and expert testimony, that supports the safe and responsible use of firearms by hunters, sport shooters, and all types of licensed gun owners. nationalpost.com/news/experts-s… 3. The Existence of Ghost Guns, Ends the Debate Not only have #Trudeau's gun bans and ‘tighter restrictions,’ failed to prevent the criminal use of firearms (or illegal gun smuggling), they've failed to do anything about the latest (and potentially greatest) risk to public safety: Ghost guns. #GhostGuns are easy-to-make, assembled from individual parts that are printed by 3D printers. 3D printers are unregulated, cheap, difficult to monitor, and are capable of producing a range of items, and yes, firearms. 3D firearms ‘don't have serial numbers on them and so evade typical legal, traceable registration processes that would otherwise help authorities track their ownership and use.’ thewestshore.ca/p/3d-printable… While the federal Liberals were wasting millions in taxpayer dollars chasing hunters and sport shooters, 3D printers continued to be 100% legal to own and use by any criminal in the country. In Summary It has been a difficult time for gun owners under this ignorant and authoritarian-style liberal government... but it may just yet, produce some future good, some greater freedom, and more safety and security for all Canadians. 👇 People who once trusted in Trudeau's government and legitimately thought licensed gun owners ‘were a problem,’ now, thanks to his governments complete failure to address the root causes of violence, know we aren't the problem... ...and that's good thing for all Canadians. #cdnpoli

Today marks a significant milestone for me. I retired from an over 35 year run with @PioneerSeedsCA @CortevaCA. It has been a wonderful career helping advance canola corn and soybean genetics. That makes me now a full time farmer.
