BREAKING: Traders placed $580 million worth of oil trades 15 minutes prior to President Trump’s post about a potential peace deal with Iran this morning, per FT.
Details include:
1. 6,200 Brent and WTI futures contracts were traded between 6:49 AM ET and 6:50 AM ET today
2. $1.5 billion in notional value worth of S&P 500 futures were traded at the same exact time
3. It is not known whether one entity or several entities were behind these trades
These trades likely generated over $100 million worth of profit in ~20 minutes.

Usually when an airline overbooks a flight, they offer compensation for volunteers or make other accommodations when they choose people on a lottery system.
Enter Frontier Airlines, on this day the overbooked the flight on their end and instead of compensating passengers for their mistake, they are instead charging them an extra $100 to rebook for later. They are avoiding accountability and burning bridges with loyal passengers, I would see about canceling and using another airline in this situation, what would you do?

This woman is celebrating her birthday with a trip with family. While they are all waiting to board, she hears an announcement over the PA system looking for 3 volunteers to take their flight tomorrow instead due to overbooking. It’s like an auction, they started at $1000 plus a free hotel stay, and went up to $1800 plus a hotel stay. What I don’t get is, how is it fair to the people who volunteered first and got lowballed. If it went as high as $1800 shouldn’t all 3 get the $1800?

Today, an administrative immigration judge ordered the deportation of Rafael Rubio, a City Council employee.
This is an affront to justice. A dedicated public servant with legal authorization to remain in the country, Rafael showed up for a routine immigration appointment and, despite following the rules, he was detained and has now been held for months.
