A throwback from January 15, 1982 - Walking out of the White House with James Brown, the Godfather of Soul and a mentor and father figure, after meeting with U.S. President Ronald Reagan and Vice President George H. W. Bush to advocate for a federal holiday honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
This was part of a broader push led by Mrs. King, Stevie Wonder, and many others who worked tirelessly to see Dr. Kingโs birthday recognized nationwide.

@Andy68580664 @black_incubus @Flashaction60 Black athletes were socialized away from activism of any kind by the mid 70s. Sports became the "golden ticket" out of impoverished circumstances...and into white acceptance. Even when Kaepernick took a position...he did so against 4 decades of that backdrop.
English

@Flashaction60 Tim Tebow is addressing his community about a crisis with white Americans. The stark difference is that Black athletes may not be the best people to articulate the complexities of the need for Reparational Justice.

So wait, LBJ is recorded here telling the NAACPโs Roy Wilkins that African countries were objecting to being appointed #ADOS ambassadors?
And Wilkins responds to LBJ by saying the African countries & their representatives were denying it?! ๐๐คฃ๐
English

@Andy68580664 I know we do. Just amplifies that Black athletes don't care. To me they're cowards.
English

@Flashaction60 You may be waiting in vain, and personally, I hope he doesn't. We deserve better-educated advocacy than professional athletes. They are always behind us in culture and social development.
English

@Andy68580664 His activism is about child predators heck he called out white men for being child predators. Now he's on the Hill testifying about it. I will be waiting for Magic to testify about reparations
English

@Flashaction60 Past Black athletes did just that to the point of being booed, excorciated, lives threatened, and loss of endorsements, etc. Tebow is following โthatโ example. All factions from Obama (government) to Jay Z (Zionists) have closed our avenues of protest.

@Black_Action @proud_ados I like it, Africa sold slaves

@arsnl_con @Blackcapitalis @majornija @Black_Action @FTrilliams Fudge Africa!!! That's why that continent is trash

@Flashaction60 @TorraineWalker @AmericanoFLA @BreakingBrown Yvette and Antonio ainโt missed yet. And they get a lot of hate for it.

Black Women need to lead:
If First Lady #MichelleObama, VP #KamalaHarris, SCOTUS #KetanjiBrownJackson, or Rep. #JasmineCrockett were presidential ๐บ๐ธ candidates in 2028, I would vote for any of them.
#BlackWomenLead #BlackLeaders #WomenLead #BlackGirlMagic #BlackGirlsRock

Heโs talking 23-24๐๐๐. @BreakingBrown is the original. Stop the copy and paste politics.

โAnd the focus has pitted ADOS adherents against people like journalist Roland Martin, who is descended from Haitian immigrants. It also appears not to address the American descendants of slaves from other countries, including for example Haitiโ goodmorningamerica.com/video/66832680
