Key detail: the alligator appeared to already be dead.
I suspect there are regulations against discharging firearms, depending on where they were in the Everglades.
The arrest for assault is a separate incident.
But important detail to mention that the alligator - by all accounts - was already dead.

Here's some interesting takes, though I have to say crying because Tim Pool said "Civil War" is just silly at this point. I love him but it's like his catch phrase. I'm sure at night he and his wife fight over the blankets and he looks at her and says "this means civil war". 🤣

There's basically no difference between this and the exact same kinds of "dumb spring breaker" videos you'd see 10 years ago or 20 years ago or 30 years ago. I actually don't mind the fact that a bunch of 18 and 19 year old kids are totally ignorant about world affairs. That's healthier than obsessively doomscrolling alone in your basement or whatever. The problem is that these kids can vote. We should all just agree that 19 year olds are stupid and don't know anything, and that's basically fine, but it's also why they shouldn't be able to vote. Raise the voting age to 25.

I still enjoy them immensely because it's kept the 'woah is me' out of it (except for some moments in HIGH POTENTIAL)
Don't make the show about how your identity has kept you down.
Don't let the side characters talk down to the lead character in excess.
Stick to the crime solving mysteries or whatever the point of the show is.
Give the characters moments to connect, again avoid snark, find heart & sincerity.
All of this stuff is impossible to pin down. There is no explanation as to why some things are annoying and other things are not. This is generally why I try to avoid works like 'woke' it's never been an accurate descriptor for why I don't like something, at least not entirely.
