@davidgross_man @paulrubens what is a "totalitarian frame". there are exceedingly few governments in the world i would characterize as totalitarian. maybe north korea and some african states. not china, not iran, and certainly not israel are "totalitarian" lol.

Just for the record, this isn't the question. Nobody asks if Israel "has the right to exist," which the PLO agreed to in 1988. The question is if Israel has a right to exist "as a Jewish state" without changing its legal framework of apartheid and Jewish supremacy.

Asked whether "Israel has a right to exist" a great answer can be: "Yes. But Israel exists and its existence is accepted by pretty much all countries in the region and the world. But does Palestine have a right to exist? Because Israel does everything from stopping Palestinians from exercising that right. So shouldn't THAT be the question?" Instead, the geniuses of the pro-Palestine movement have settled on "no state has a right to exist" which is neither here nor there and is a cop-out that denies the very real eleminationism that many harbor toward Israel (but really only one state in the world declares and pursues, i.e. Iran)

sorry, a website whose first article is literally mocking the concerns of british jews about antisemitism is closer to Israel HaYom lol. there is no Arab equivalent of Meretz. Ben Gvirism is not even notable in Arab communities because it's just the default opinion. @3lfares because no other country is insisting on a "poison pill" for negotiations. if you want two states, Arab Palestine + Israel that will immediately become a second Arab Palestine, just admit you won't accept two states and want one Arab entity. No need for language games.

Besides anything, Israel didn't demand that Jordan, Egypt, or even the UAE recognize Israel as a Jewish state. That demand is relatively new and is explicitly used only against Palestinians to stall the peace negotiations, *despite* the PLO having recognized Israel as a state.

For my entire life, I have supported Palestinian rights and a two state solution for the Israel-Palestine conflict based on mutual recognition, mutual security, and mutual indigeneity. Having said that, the level of malicious, ahistorical ignorance of the far left is unimaginable. Although there may be some well-intentioned ignoramuses among them, these ignorant bigots are doing far more harm than good.
