@Tencterer Here is all from Hungary and Austria. But also Coon says the Hallstatt Culture samples in Austria are almost entirely morphologically Nordid, in contrast to La Tene cites where the older Bell Beaker element still persists to some degree. I’ll send you pages on La Tene if you want

@GeoffreyofAnjou Interesting, but as you can see in my post these La Tene ones are not really La Tene (well their material culture is) Are the Austria ones also more fair?

@Tencterer From Carleton Coon in “The Races of Europe”. Also if you go on phenotype prediction sites like adnaxp the Central European Hallstatt and La Tene samples are way more fair than the Gauls proper. Coon identified both these and Germanics with continuation of Unetice type

Some bizarre misreadings on this American high schools are run by self identified Marxist Leninists who will expel a white kid if he eg knocks up a girl They are obsessed with climate ideology, and a long list of other things…odd to say it’s people who don’t care about “evil”…
Bronze Age Pervert@bronzeagemantis

Leaving aside the psychosexual-politico-imaginings of middle aged conservative dorks based on fantasy books…did any of you in high skrewl in the west feel you were around easy going people who didn’t think about “evil”? I felt surrounded by moral fanatics who demonized me

European features in Jewish women are straightforwardly attributed to mixing with Italians, Germans, Poles. But when it comes to intellect this convoluted endogenous mechanism is posited, often to neutralize anti-Semitism by suggesting they have something to offer biologically.
Avelum@novusolus

Why not ascribe Jewish intelligence and mathematical acumen to their long history of mixing with Europeans? Is that not a more plausible explanation that that centuries of Talmud & Gematria study in the priestly caste accidentally bred a race of mentats?

@tnjlas Ethnogenensis for Berbers is Neolithic Sardinian-like migration from Spain mixing with previous inhabitants. Later Bronze Age Bell Beakers coming from the same place also mixed in. Berber genome is like half European. You are right that it’s not Romans or Vandals, etc, it’s older

@Maptysk @DanTabin Why don’t we just say ancient north Eurasian continuum that goes from SHG to WSHG and just say they have varying levels of local admixture (ie East Asian in the east and WHG in the west).

@DanTabin Both EHG and ANE are annoying labels because of how diverse they really were, these should be ideally redefined

This is also true autosomally. "EHG" from Samara, Karelia, Khvalynsk, etc are all related but have slightly different proportions of ANE, WHG, and CHG ancestry. WHG, on the other hand, are far more homogenous, with WHG in Wales and Germany being nearly the same 1/2

Paxtysk@Maptysk

@DanDavisWrites Not many ready that "EHG"s are not a homogenous population with consistent Y-DNA nor any defining material cultures and many carry I2a1 from Ahrensburgian derived mesolithic groups as well as Material culture from them

Blue skin appears to be an acquirable trait. For a long time I've imagined the Lumens as having blue skin. The Blue Fugates were known for a genetic trait that lead to a condition called methemoglobinemia exhibiting blue skin. The genetic line eventually dwindled until the final one was cured of the condition. I swear this is real!

@GeoffreyofAnjou @Maptysk @GildedCoprolite @Hilux_Catalyzer Oh no I meant to say despite having a close genetic profile Etruscans are not Italic like Latins. They were an Iron Age population in Italy that descend partially from Indo European migrants despite speaking a non Italic language.

The language might have been transmitted from Afanasievo to Tianshan via Andronovo, but it is impossible that they were simply a community of the Andronovo horizon with the same roots. The language is far too divergent, does not share any of the neccesary innovations and has evidence of contact with groups like eg. proto-samoyedic, and also various unknown substrate terms

@Maptysk @GildedCoprolite @Hilux_Catalyzer Honestly I feel like we probably can’t rule out the possibility that Tocharian is just a weird historical anomaly of an Andronovo tribe. In the same way that the Etruscan language doesn’t make sense given that they’re an Italic tribe. Not saying it’s best idea but possible.

Afanasievo becomes Chemurchek in around 2500 which already dilutes their ancestry somewhat, this then move southward into dzungaria with stone burial enclosues which also appear at sites like Tianshanbeilu. Tianshanbeilu skulls iirc were mixed East Eurasian-West Eurasian, most of the Y-DNA from it was N1 thoughbeit. Its possible that they still carried the language over from Chemurchek. At around 1000bc Tianshanbeilu and Barkol groups come under influence from cultures like Shanma and adopt Painted Ware, which they spread westward as the Subeshi and Chawuhugoukou groups, this pottery is also found at Loulan/Shanshan. When the Tocharians moved along the Tianshan there were already iranic populations from the Chust-Haladun culture (proto khotanese?) there that they mixed with, diluting their already very diluted Chemurchek ancestry even further.

@hiraethdao @GreeneMan6 The second layer of the problem is that a majority of vitalist accounts on here present eugenic endgames and beauty as instagram bimbo models and surfer bros. Others favor tech dweebs. Neither is the stuff of the old lords of Iron Age or medieval Europe

@GreeneMan6 You are correct but looking at it like an engineer. People are saying it’s “dysgenic” because of the moral sentiment. They are upset by the moral values around the Christian idea of elevating egalitarian human dignity . As opposed to elevating the ideal of vitality and beauty.

Half my feed is sperging out about the dysgenic impact of not aborting down-syndrome children. Taking off my Catholic hat, this a silly conversation even if you do care about eugenics. If you were to list the long term genetic risks to our species, “Down syndrome children” wouldn’t break into the top 100 (the top risks all being variations on gene-selection gone haywire or post-sexual revolution IQ-Shredders). In fact, DS children don’t even have a long term dysgenic effect. Their main burden is costing their families emotional and physical labor. Now sure, that’s not nothing, friction hurts. I just don’t think that lack of friction is really our collective problem in the modern world. Especially when the original family in question was spending thousands of dollars and thousands of hours on “dog care”.

whether as a result of this eastern component, or from convergent evolution, the final result was a spectrum between semi-Mongoloid (1) and fully Europoid (2) tendencies, with a primordial 'Equatorial' minority (3).

¿Con qué van a copear los marrones que odian a España ahora? el andalusí promedio no solo que no era marroquí, sino que incluso la reconquista hizo al habitante de la península aún más europeo, eliminando bastante del ADN bereber que había en esa zona.
