When working on UI in Unreal I really like to break down the different parts like this in a tool like Figma, since it makes it a lot easier for me to reason about what logic should go where.
I like to keep things modular and give each widget only very few responsibilities.

🧙♂️Supports are your "Mages" and can either heal/give barriers to prevent damage or learn more combat magic, like the Ice Spike ability shown earlier.

I got feedback that villagers didn't feel like they were becoming as strong as players thought they should so I've been slowly adding abilities you can choose from as they level.
