This morning we celebrated Reading!  Over 100 children received their Gold Rainbow Reading Award and 60 children achieved the Spine Reading Award.  As a result, all these wonderful new books by our favourite authors will be added to the School Library.📚@davidwalliams @jk_rowling

@SuffolkLibrary have a Summer Reading Challenge! For each of the six books read, children can collect a prize from the library.  If you sign up at Lavenham Library, we are offering an additional prize of our exclusive “light up pens” once they have have completed book 3!📚

On Tuesday, Years 2-6 were treated to visit from the Language Leaders at King's Ely. They have English as a second language and gave the children presentations on their countries of origin. It was an inspirational afternoon, leaving us in awe of their English and their confidence

All the children were excited to swap books for World Book Day. We were so pleased to be able to send home every child with a 'new' book to enjoy. Thank you for your kind donations!📚📖 #WorldBookDay2023

After Miss Balaam's course on Wednesday 22nd February with @ActiveSuffolk, KS2 now have regular brain breaks. The children say: "The brain breaks motivate me and wakes me up ready for more learning" "It's really good for my mental health and physical fitness" #PESSPAConf23

Christmas and Nativity Festival at St Lawrence's Church this weekend 10am-4pm. Please go and see our tree and the wonderful displays from our community! 🎄

The village was so proud of our Christmas choir opening the fayre on Saturday. We even had a few extras come along to join in! 😁

South America were geographers at Foxearth #naturereserve on Monday. Even the rain could not deter us from nature walks, using compasses and thinking of how to improve the site. Thank you #foxearthmeadows

South America were palaeontologists for the day on Friday @braintreemuseum Thank you for such an amazing time!

Cedars had a great morning with @AnglianWater discovering all about sewage, cleaning water and how much water we use (and waste)!

Last week, KS2 welcomed language leaders from King's Ely in Cambridgeshire. They spoke to the children about their cultures and taught the children some of their language. The speakers came from all over the world - Russia, China, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong and Holland!
