@kmixbye Ebooks are usually cheaper. Printing has gotten fairly expensive today. But when you buy digitally the author gets more of the total money which is nice for them.

Every creative person I know that has embraced AI as a tool for their art has produced more content this month than all of last year. A true creative individual sees AI and feels completely empowered. They feel like the entire world has opened up to them. But a lot of self professed creative people, who have been grifting as creatives for decades, are about to be exposed as frauds who and pretenders who only know how to work within the politics of the current system. They will sit down before the greatest tool for creativity the world has ever known and not have a single idea how to use it or what story to tell. Pay attention to what is happening and who rejects the gift, and who embraces it.

Despite thinking she’s a psychopath, I’m not remotely in favour of digging up Mamdani’s wife’s social media posts from when she was a teenager. That being said, the same type of people who are decrying this overreach had absolutely no problem with the media attempting to destroy a teenage boy’s life for ‘smirking’ at a man who was banging a drum in his face. Thus the outrage all seems rather hypocritical to me.

It's a real and growing problem that someone as extreme as Hasan gets glowing profiles in every liberal/progressive media outlet. He's toxic, he's an authoritarian, and he promotes political violence, but progs everywhere only care that he calls himself a socialist and is hot.
