Repeating what I heard from Willie and Basch on today's show talking about Iowa's assistant opening: 1. Iowa never reached out to Yianni 2. Both said it wouldn't make sense to have an outside hire if Iowa were to end up "cleaning house" in a couple years when the Brands are done. 3. Willie has it on good authority that it will be Jacob Warner: "It makes all the sense in the world... He's from Iowa, knows the program, obviously works well with T&T. Maybe it's not the splash that Iowa fans want but all things considered in that environment, it makes a whole heck of sense." 🚨I'm not breaking any news just simply repeating what I watched from their show today.

Big news out of Madison. Wisconsin Associate Head Coach Jon Reader is stepping away from wrestling to pursue an opportunity outside the sport. This is a tough loss for the Badgers, Reader has been a cornerstone of that program and one of the most respected, genuine guys in wrestling. The kind of coach athletes gravitate toward and programs are built around. At the same time, nothing but respect for him making this move. Opportunities like this don’t come around often, and it sounds like the right move for him and his family. Wishing Jon Reader nothing but success in this next chapter! The wrestling world is better because of guys like him.

@JustinJBasch Jon Reader is one of the rare people in my life that I instantly made a connection with. He is the real deal on the mat but more importantly off the mat. He will be missed dearly in Madison. Great young man with a bright future regardless of where he ends up. NIL at UW is hard.

@SethVosters I love Fix but I never found any of his matches that electric. I would say he was the definition of a defensive wrestler who liked to wait for his offensive spot. Against the top guys, that is a tough strategy. I prefer offense on your feet. Huge fan of his but tough to watch.

Vito vs Fix was such an electric finals match. Vito started his sprint early in the second period down 2-0, there was about 6 blood time-outs, 2 challenges, Vito had a takedown wiped, got Fix dinged for 2 stall points, and Vito ended up winning 5-3.

@scarlett4kids In case anyone is wondering, the Democrats running for governor, including @TheOtherMandela and @FrancescaHongWI, support these policies. They support not informing parents. They support men using girls’ bathrooms, locker rooms, and playing in women’s sports.

🚨Breaking: While parents in nearby New Richmond are fighting for girls’ privacy in bathrooms and locker rooms, a far more extreme policy has been quietly in place just 30 minutes away in the River Falls School District. In 2023, the district approved Policy 411 – Rule 3: “Gender Diverse Students.” Here’s what it allows: • Names & Pronouns: Staff must address students using chosen names and pronouns tied to gender identity — even without a legal name change. • Bathrooms: Students may use restrooms based on gender identity and cannot be required to use a unisex or separate facility. • Locker Rooms & Showers: A transgender student cannot be required to use facilities based on biological sex. The policy even allows the superintendent to override parental consent in certain cases. • Sports & Activities: Students may participate in PE classes, clubs, and activities based on gender identity. This information was brought forward by a former high-level source within the district — and most parents in River Falls have no idea this policy exists. Parents deserve transparency. Communities deserve to know what policies are governing their schools.
