Excited and honored to announce that HealthKey’s been accepted to @ycombinator's W25 batch 🚀 Some stats about my journey so far: - 727 days since I left my day job - 546 cold calls to get my first customer - 23 months working without a paycheck - $52,779 of biz expenses on my personal credit card - 3 YC applications, 1 interview… acceptance 🎉 Building a startup in healthcare is not for the faint of heart. But it’s incredibly fulfilling. This is the story of never quitting. HealthKey began out of my own (negative) patient experience — I hated that doctors never knew my past medical history. So I set out to build tools for clinicians to make it better. After 5 distinct product iterations, and 6 months working tightly with our early customers, we finally have a taste of product-market fit. So this really is just the beginning. Today, HealthKey helps doctors' offices generate more revenue by enrolling their patients in clinical trials, and matches at-risk patients with cutting-edge treatments. Big Pharma pays a lot of money to clinics for each patient they enroll, but finding patients who qualify is an entirely manual process. We use AI to prescreen doctors’ existing patients against Clinical Trials’ eligibility criteria, making enrollment fast and easy. We’re live with several clinics already and are processing 1000s of patients per month. Expect to hear more in the coming weeks about our product announcements, case studies, new EHR integrations, etc. I want to close with extreme gratitude for all of the support I’ve received on this journey. To my early customers working so hard with us to innovate. To my team: @negcx , @ckalpit , and the many others who helped along the way. To the 34 friends/family/angels who invested in November 2024, 2 weeks before YC’s acceptance. To our group partner @t_blom & the YC community. To my family & girlfriend, who’ve shown extreme patience and endurance. You’re true believers. Thank you ❤️ If you’ve read this far, you might as well stick around and help out!
