Army Colonel Dave Butler from his roles as the Army's chief public affairs official and senior advisor to Army Secretary Dan Driscoll in a continuing purge of senior military officials from their roles at the Pentagon. Col. Butler formerly served as the chief public affairs officer for the Joint Chiefs of Staff under former chairman General Mark Milley.

The Reason for the Media Noise
There’s a reason the clash between the legacy press and the Pentagon feels seismic right now.
The military isn’t just an institution, it’s been the country’s moral compass. Whoever guides it, guides the nation’s thinking. Politicians have always known that. Truman used that noble power when he desegregated the armed forces.
But in recent years, the same mechanism was used for something else. Instead of leading the nation toward unity and strength, the military was used as a cultural billboard. Ideology crept in where excellence used to live. Propaganda replaced purpose.
The media cheered it on. They needed the uniform to sanctify their narratives so their social experiments could look righteous.
Now that the fog is lifting, they’re panicking. Because when the military starts waking up, it doesn’t just correct itself, it corrects the entire country.
That’s why the noise is so damn loud. They know the most trusted institution in America is remembering what it was built to do: defend the nation, not divide it.

We are excited to announce over 60 journalists, representing a broad spectrum of new media outlets and independent journalists, have signed the Pentagon’s media access policy and will be joining the new Pentagon press corps. Twenty-six journalists across 18 outlets were among the former Pentagon press corps who chose to sign the DOW media access policy. New media outlets and independent journalists have created the formula to circumvent the lies of the mainstream media and get real news directly to the American people. Their reach and impact collectively are far more effective and balanced than the self-righteous media who chose to self-deport from the Pentagon. Americans have largely abandoned digesting their news through the lens of activists who masquerade as journalists in the mainstream media.
