Danny recruiting NBA talent, which is great, but second-tier guys have not hit. Stewart didn't develop, Nowell awful, Abraham barely played, now Reibe gone. And top-25er de-committed last year after Malachi. Need better retention/hit rates there if not going to dominate portal

Would Michigan have probably beaten UConn anyway if the fouls were skewed evenly? Yes. Is Michigan a deserving champion? Yes. Was UConn squeezed in the first half? Again, yes. Should Breeding and Anderson have been on the whistle? No. All four of these things can be true.

This is just a sad way to think about the sport I love, but part of me hopes they just build the doom squad next year. Give me the oldest, tallest, most athletic, most physically imposing players out of the portal and lets build a G-League team. The window is closing.

Watch Stewart on this play. Takes a beyond selfish shot (wasn't even easy) then just stands out on the perimeter and doesn't help his teammates. He played a selfish brand of basketball all game.

@HeroCollects Solo is flawed and so is Silas. That fab recruiting class proved to have one star and then complementary pieces. This is why I say they need a portal star. Silas and Solo aren’t championship guards

@MattEhalt Correct. Solo hasn’t gotten any better either. Just kept the volume up which is why his PPG looks good. Defense is atrocious.

@HeroCollects Ross is what he is but he improved. He plays hard. Stewart meanwhile while last night only played as if he acted about himself and peaked 2 years ago in the Big East Final. 3 years and zero improvement.

@MattEhalt 100%. I think you could say that about the junior class as a whole. Ross improved but not enough.

@HeroCollects He didn’t develop and played a selfish game last night he actively hurt them with how awful he was. Shame. He has talent but he’s never improved.
