I’m hearing from Islington Labour that Praful Nargund’s campaign had such an awful start he’s thinking of quitting. Despite knocking 100s of doors over the weekend they only found 3 people who’d vote for him. Nargund close to tears & an NEC member had to persuade him to carry on.

Instead, they wasted time and energy trying to argue that those who raised concerns were guilty of a possible 'criminal offence' purely by sending these complaints. This response is not only absurd, it is deeply alarming. Kent Police appeared far more outraged by the complaints themselves than by the blatant antisemitism that prompted them. This is a damning indictment of the force. It also raises a serious question: why did the local Labour council approve this exhibition in the first place?
