On June 2nd in 1990 there was an outbreak of tornadoes in in the Midwest and the Ohio Valley. About 37 tornadoes touched down in Indiana.

On this day in 1852, a slew of tornadoes touched down in Kentucky, Illinois, and Indiana. The tornado that touched down in New Harmony, Indiana was able to knock over trees at a rate of 7,000 per minute.
