@subhavsamarth "Born" is obviously inaccurate. Hinduism, Sikhism and Jainism developed largely outside of Bihar. Even Buddhism had its origins derive to a Himalayan Kṣatriya prince.

YSR universe ripped off Hollywood trope where the villain is actually within the hero org itself (mission impossible etc) and a hot female on the other side(James Bond etc). This is a necessary device for Hollywood because of the impression that no other country is as capable.
These concepts are a complete mismatch for India/Pak setting. It is impossible for any sensible person to imagine that Pakistani ISI employs bikini clad hot women as field agents. This is why I have never seen a single YSR film and in general, I can't stand Bollywood movies.
Dhurandhar is a welcome change because, despite several overworked themes, it is still in the area where suspension of disbelief is credible. Possibly because many events in the movie are absolutely historical, even the horrific ones involving Lyari gang violence.

Maharashtra was not even part of India until Aurangzeb captured it. Remember, Hindustanis and Deccanis were mutually exclusive people. Maharashtra is more of a sphere of influence kind of thing instead pf being a core part of India.

And thereafter, Govindadevaraya supported Bahmanids against Muhammad bin-Tughluq in their revolt. And he then himself revolted against Bahmanids in 1370.

Even the civil war ridden Pandya Empire didn't fall until 1326. Seunas fought twice in 1296, 1308, and 1317 as Harapaladeva's rebellion. Hoysalas reconquered
