Van, thank you for expressing the sorrow and relief that we all feel. My hope is that those who hoped for a different outcome will take a moment to empathize with the pain so many of us have felt over the past four years.

We marched, we resisted, and now, we’re so close to finally saying goodbye.

Serving NY-14 and fighting for working class families in Congress has been the greatest honor, privilege, & responsibility of my life. Thank you to the Bronx & Queens for re-electing me to the House despite the millions spent against us, & trusting me to represent you once more.

I'm focusing on things I can influence, shape, or control. And we have a lot of power and a lot of work to do, regardless of the winner. Being solution-oriented keeps me grounded in hope as action, not magic.
