I like hearing different opinions and views people have to share. It expands your scope of reason as you get to understand how different people think and what guides them to hold that view.

Russia has released the first image of Earth from its new Elektro-L satellite, launched from Baikonur last month. The spacecraft has reached geostationary orbit at 36,000 km above the equator, with its multispectral scanner capturing images with a resolution of 1–4 km per pixel.

This is Isiolo👇it just rained. Even when very dry, most parts of Kenya still look like this. Shades of black, brown and green. There's a reason they haven't changed this camo.

It's high time the KDF switches from their current uniform,to a Uniform that blends well with their area of operation. The current KDF uniform is a tactical disaster. What they are wearing right now is what we call the DPM, the Disruptive Pattern Material. It was designed by the British specifically for the European forest during the Cold War. Because we love copying our colonial masters, we adopted it without a second thought. We ignored the fact that Kenya is two-thirds semi-arid. Our soldiers are not fighting in a Bosnian forest, they are there up North in the heat, in the dust, and in the scrublands. In these scrublands, our soldiers wearing DPM stand out like clear black targets. As seen in the photo above, wearing the first uniform in an arid area makes it much easier for the enemy to spot you compared to the second one. DPM is too high contrast. It creates a silhouette for the enemies to target our soldiers. Every modern army is evolving. Rwanda is green, so they picked the best green for their army. We need a Kenyan original. We need an omnipatern,a pattern engineered for our soil, our land, and our mission. It’s time to stop copying the past and start engineering our future. Is it time for a new standard? Let me know your thoughts in the comment section."

A 4,000 km radius from Tehran stretches deep into Africa, reaching across the Horn and into East Africa. To put this into perspective: 🇪🇹 Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) is about 3,200 km from Tehran 🇸🇴 Mogadishu (Somalia) is about 3,700–3,800 km away 🇸🇸 Juba (South Sudan) sits just under 4,000 km 🇰🇪 Nairobi (Kenya) is just beyond that range at around 4,300–4,400 km What this means is that within a 4,000 km reach, most of the Horn of Africa and parts of East Africa fall squarely within range, with countries like Kenya sitting just at the edge of that radius. This is not a distant geography. It is within the same regional neighborhood, from the Middle East into Africa’s eastern corridor.

Zamani, a teacher in our area convinced fellas to uproot their coffee bushes that had been planted in the 30s. They paid those uprooters 55cts per plant and sold the stems as firewood for 25cts. The water-powered coffee mill fell into disrepair and the farms converted to grow

ᴛʀᴀᴠᴇʟ ꜱᴘᴇᴄɪᴀʟɪꜱᴛ 🇺🇬@Uganda_Expozed

Apart from the word “Banange” we should teach Kenyans 🇰🇪 about the things we have in Uganda.

One example in Kalenjin; the version of raising a white flag in war was raising grass (kipkandulit). If the enemy does that, they've surrendered, you can't kill them. Raising grass can also be used to seek forgiveness locally.
