My wife & I started homeschooling in 1999. Best & most important decision of our lives. We homeschooled for 3 reasons:
1) We wanted our children to have a classical education.
2) We did not want them "socialized" by a government institution.
3) It's a beautiful way of life.

In 10 years, we'll realize young adults can't read, write, or think as well as they should. We'll wonder how we allowed students to offload huge chunks of their learning to AI. Today we're just watching it happen. This is the most obvious unforced error of our time.

I don't understand why smartphones were ever allowed in schools in the first place. We weren't even allowed to take out a graphing calculator outside of very specific math or science classes. Did everyone just give up on rules and decorum at some point

Given how radicalized and ideological the Advanced Placement Program has become, this is actually true. Passing any modern A. P. exam proves nothing other than an ability to appease the iconoclasts at the institutions who receive the scores. Never would passing this exam alone render someone worthy of suffrage.

Unpopular opinion but the right to vote shouldn’t be automatic. It should require passing a basic test on economics, finance, history, and how laws and public policy actually work… Pass it, you vote. Fail it, you don’t.

I have spent my entire career educating young men, and can confirm that this is true. While I have had the benefit of teaching exclusively at all-boys’ schools, even there, I have witnessed means by which modern education bears ill effects on boys. The system is not designed to cultivate male excellence. It is designed to punish male manifestations of virtue. Too many female teachers fail to understand and/or refuse to accept and embrace the natural male-female dynamic. Too many weak male teachers do not assert themselves as men. The teacher training system both attracts and cultivates insufferable, insecure, domineering harridans who bully boys in a manner that would spell the end of life as a teacher, or even as a free man, were a male teacher to so conduct himself towards a girl student. These things, among others, amalgamate to a culture that is intentionally designed for boys to fail unless they enthrall themselves to the longhouse. Homeschooling, proper classical education, traditional families, strong Christian communities, and other means of evading the modern educational landscape are the only immediate solutions.

Unwanted pregnancy is a disease in the eyes of those who perceive abortion to be healthcare. These are the same people who consider endless vaccinations, prescriptions, surgeries, and other physiological disruptions to be “care.”
