@spofiee All MMOs have a degree of unhinged drama, you basically only see what you're more engaged with on this dogshit site, I get WoW and ff14 drama all the time on my feed and sometimes other mmo stuff, but I do see more 30+ year olds trying to relive their high school days on ff14.

Is “highschool” drama occurring on a much smaller scale in WoW? (or other MMOs for that matter) I keep seeing this, but every MMO I’ve played in the last decade and a half has had “highschool drama” because humans will human.

@That_Guy_Xenon @mokidoucette And those mmos being? The majority of the big ones like WoW and ESO have had ways to gear up easy af in recent times, Guild Wars 2 is all horizontal progression, and you never have to farm the best gear again because it's always relevant.

@KiwiCat_TV FF14 creators these days would rather grift than actually make decent videos, I think there are very few top creators that didn't become absolute weirdos just to attract a toxic audience that hates everything and everyone.

It's so sad to see this sentiment so commonly shared around the FFXIV sphere. I can't blame anyone for feeling this way. The truth is that so many amazing folks are farther down in the category on Twitch, have less than 10k subs on Youtube, and aren't "well-known" by the community. This game has 12 years of history but the same 10 names are always repeated, even after some of them have long quit the game. Raging and drama gets clicks, being nice and positive doesn't. It's a recipe for disaster. In summary, give someone new a shot if you want to consume FFXIV content, you might find someone really neat and make friends in their community.

@JaBeanus @momiji_doa In my opinion original Code Vein wasnt good either, for me it was one of the worst soulslikes and the main reason was how fucking "rusty" this game feels. It wasnt slow or anything - just every single animation felt like a slog and it made entire game feels like shit.

@wesleytypes Witcher 3 had a massive impact on gaming, both it's expansions were masterclass in story telling, crimson desert is just another flavour of the month game that will fade into obscurity once these people find the next game to glaze 24/7.

The fact that people are asking this question as often as they are proves the delusion surrounding this game. I don't doubt that Crimson Desert is pretty good, maybe even very good for a lot of people, but it seems nobody can just be sane about it.
