@BEACHYBIRDER It's possible, but all the ones here seem fairly tired and weak. Depends how fast moving the weather system is I suppose.

@JamesSLees Has to be a candidate for UK vagrancy, a late November surprise for someone on Scilly one year.

I finally joined the Cave Swallow club! Ontario has seen an influx of these rare visitors from Texas, following some strong SW storms. #rarebird #caveswallow

English

@BEACHYBIRDER Looks like it must involve several hundred birds. Large number of sightings from the Great Lakes. They also made it to Quebec, North Carolina, Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York & even one in Maine.
English

@JamesSLees How big is the influx and how far NE does it reach!

Late October is the best time to see Golden Eagles on migration through #Ontario. I hit gold three times last week at the office. This cracking first year cruised over at a reasonable height for once! #birding #goldeneagle

English

@peediepuss Sounds great. Hopefully still using those trusty Zeiss?
English

@JamesSLees Not quite, but I'm enjoying my October holidays doing a bit of casual migration watching!
English

@JamesSLees What city is this, James? (I ask as a fellow Ontarian)
English

@beetlingbirder @neild1962 Well good luck, hope it all works out well for you.
English

@JamesSLees @neild1962 Iโm starting with 3 months! I recently found out that I am Canadian and my only daughter is emigrating to NYC!
making a living will go a long way to helping me decide how long I stay
English

@beetlingbirder @neild1962 You mean a permanent move or a holiday?
English

@JamesSLees @neild1962 I will be joining you soon, although Iโm starting in Quebec, will be sad to leave Blakeney, but a few Canadian Warblers might make up for it!
English

@MJMcGill_Anser @slimbridge_wild Brilliant stuff, super rare bird for the Sputh Lake!

Southern Giant Petrels are a common sight in the #falklandislands. These massive seabirds are always patrolling for anything dead along the coastlines. Fantastic birds to watch flying, just effortless. #birding #seabirds
