@BEACHYBIRDER Looks like it must involve several hundred birds. Large number of sightings from the Great Lakes. They also made it to Quebec, North Carolina, Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York & even one in Maine.

Late October is the best time to see Golden Eagles on migration through #Ontario. I hit gold three times last week at the office. This cracking first year cruised over at a reasonable height for once! #birding #goldeneagle

There's been a Dusky Warbler here on Papay for 3 days, in a small, dense stand of scrub. It's been quite vocal, but only given the briefest, occasional views. All change today in calm, sunny conditions, when it, very shiftily, came out in the open. Found & photo by David Roche.

I don't chase many birds, but I couldn't resist this one. Ontario's 2nd ever Black-tailed Gull. This mega from 🇯🇵🇷🇺 is a major rarity in North America & a stunner of a gull!

First cold snap of the fall & north winds produced a decent fall of birds. Very impressive numbers of Ruby-crowned Kinglets, they were everywhere! #birding #ontario

Stunning male Purple Finch just showed up in my garden. Also, constant passage of Yellow-rumped Warblers & American Robins heading west. #birding #Ontario

This fabulous Cape-May Warbler decided to spend some time in my back garden. I thoroughly enjoyed watching him feed & trying to get some photos of him against our neighbour's brickwork #birding #ontario #warblers

Very busy few weeks doing breeding bird surveys, must have walked 100 miles. I was rewarded with this male Canada Warbler on territory. Fingers crossed, he gets rewarded by securing a mate. #birding #Ontario
