I did not say they invented tanking, I believe I said they took it to a different level. An important distinction Show me a team that was sitting 5-7 players consistently throughout the second half of the season prior to last season. I could be wrong, maybe the media hyped it up.

@Callystarr This is wildly untrue and absurdly unfair. OKC, San Antonio, Dallas and just about every franchise BUT Utah has deliberately tanked for one or more consecutive seasons prior to 2023. What is the metric by which you claim Utah has “taken it to a whole different level?”

As I reflect on the last few years as a Utah Jazz fan, I honestly can’t put into words how happy I am that this tanking nonsense is finally over. I don’t care what anybody says… I’d rather root for a team that wins 35 games and actually tries to win than sit through what we’ve watched the last two seasons… even if a championship was supposedly part of that equation. I know some people will strongly disagree with me… that’s fine… it is what it is. But I’ll be real… in my 45 years of life, watching this team since I was 11, I’ve never come closer to walking away as a fan than I did during this stretch. It made me appreciate past Jazz ownership even more… because no matter the circumstances, they never fully pulled the plug like this. And for that, I’m grateful… because what we just witnessed was flat-out disgusting. I get it… small market, all the usual arguments… I’ve heard them all. I still don’t want to see this ever again. I sincerely hope the NBA finds a way to truly reduce tanking in this league… because I genuinely love this sport… but competing to lose should never be part of it.

Following the excellent Invincible VS open beta, it looks like the file was reduced in size from 10gb to 0.5gb. This suggests MS can just delete files from your Xbox at will. Which is maybe a little uncomfortable, if not frightening.

@maximilian_ Accepting that this is true. Adding motion inputs doesn’t make Invincible VS a better or deeper game. There’s a difference between simplifying the games systems to appeal to more players and just eliminating stupidity that we’ve all gotten used to because 1992.

Been saying it since 2015. If a game is just simplified, it's 2x as easy for new players, but 10x easier for experienced players. If a game has characters you love, doing cool stuff together/against each-other, people will justify reasons to keep playing at any level.
