There are really few (< 15) people in the world who know both frontier modeling AND modern robotics very well. A lot of strong roboticists are still working off of ideas from the pre-2023, pre-Gemini era of robotics and know very little about frontier AI techniques. A lot of strong frontier modeling people do not care yet / have little expertise in robotics. The latter group is increasing as more of the big AI labs are foraying into robotics but still the world needs a lot more :)

The Strait is open, and AGIBOT is sending more oil: data. AGIBOT WORLD 2026 just dropped on Hugging Face. • 100% real-world data + 1:1 GenieSim digital twins • Hundreds of hours of free-form (non-scripted) teleop in commercial and home settings • Force-control data + full error-recovery trajectories • Collected on the AGIBOT G2 with Whole-Body Control (WBC) + OmniHand • Native LeRobot v2.1 format with hierarchical annotations (Tasks → Atomic Skills → 2D BBoxes) Phase 1 (Imitation Learning) is live and training-ready. @AGIBOTofficial

OpenAI proposes shifting the tax base from labor to capital. Reductions in payroll taxes and labor income could erode the tax base that funds social programs. Capital gains and corporate income taxes may need to increase, while taxes on automated labor and credits for retaining workers should be explored.

Eleven years ago we started @EclipseVentures and bet everything on atoms. Rockets, robots, chips, factories, power systems, defense. The things civilization actually runs on. Today, we're announcing $1.3B in new capital to keep building. The physical world is overdue for transformation. Transportation runs on systems designed decades ago. The energy grid cannot keep up with demand. Healthcare depends on manual procedures that don't scale. Defense development moves at a fraction of the speed threats evolve. These are not software problems. They are full stack engineering and operations problems, and they have been underinvested in for a generation. But there has never been a better moment to solve them. The best engineers are leaving big tech to build in the physical world. AI is compressing timelines from years to quarters. Policy is aligned. And customers are not waiting — the DoD, the hyperscalers, hospitals, and the Fortune 500 are all desperate for technology that makes physical systems smarter, faster, and more resilient. Talent, capital, technology, policy, and demand are all converging at once. This is our moment 🇺🇸 We built Eclipse for this exact moment and in doing so, we launched a movement. Today that movement is 100 companies strong (and growing!). These companies supply each other, share customers, and help solve each other's hardest problems. Propulsion systems powering orbital defense. Modern supply chain infrastructure moving the worlds goods. Autonomous vehicles on three continents. Surgical robots performing procedures that used to require the world's best hands. Cloud hardware powering the AI revolution built on American soil. That's not a fund. That's an economy — an Eclipse Economy. The door is open to rebuild the physical infrastructure of the country. We intend to run through it.

Cyber is the first clear and present danger from frontier AI models, but it won’t be the last. If we are able to collectively rise to the challenge and confront this risk, it could serve as a blueprint for addressing the even more difficult challenges that lie ahead of us.

I suppose this is as good a time as any to share that I've joined OpenAI. I plan to continue supporting a few open source humanoid companies like @asimovinc and anvil.bot where I can. The next few years are going to be pivotal. Excited to help build the singularity.

Honored to be featured in @Inc’s latest article on the rise of robotics. “This is the year,” says our founder, when humanoids move from hype to reality. We’re building the software layer to make that future real.

Seeing the world through a robot’s eyes is wild. Robots will have a superhuman ability to instantly retrieve memories or info on every face they encounter. It will be useful for robots to behave in line with the cultural and social nuances of individuals and groups, provided that data safety and privacy alignments are resolved first.

Kyber Labs system autonomously performing a 42-step blood test workflow (video at 1x speed). The demo showcases a compelling case for integrating the hand system into laboratory use cases. The hand features low-cost artificial fiber actuators that mimic human muscle, providing high torque transparency and mechanical compliance without complex gearboxes. This 20-DOF bimanual platform is built for backdrivability and dexterity. The New York-based startup is building a manipulation platform designed for embodied AI to automate dexterous industrial tasks.
