We drove our robots from San Francisco to New York City. Along the way we presented at Automate in Chicago, the biggest robotics convention in North America, took a ferry so our robot could see the Statue of Liberty, and wrapped up the trip with NYC’s first robot pop-up shop in SoHo. Thousands of people visited. Most had never met a robot before, and now they have. A robot took the Staten Island Ferry and saw the Statue of Liberty. We're training robots to navigate real environments. Soon, walking alongside them will seem like a normal occurence.

Today marks the final day of our NYC pop up shop! We had thousands of visitors and millions of impressions generated as attendees shared pictures and videos of our robots. At #Automate2026, we turned our booth into a live stack-mapping session for founders building in robotics and physical AI. From data to deployment, founders worked with our solution architects to map their architectures on NVIDIA platforms 🤝

Chicago Automate was a huge success! For many attendees, this was their first time interacting with a single robot let alone many different robots in social scenarios. We let loose 4+ robot form factors where people could interact in completely unstructured scenarios. Founder @JanLiphardt also shared his thoughts on how robots must be safe for humanity, and that only though building foundational trust can we create lasting solutions. We're continuing to bring robots across the world to show what we mean at OpenMind.

At @AutomateShow in Chicago, we attached a 360° camera to our Greeter Robot and captured its POV as it interacted with attendees. Humanoids in retail, entertainment, and hospitality are starting to generate real ROI from robots that can engage and create memorable customer experiences.
