The Nuggets are likely done. Once they’re out, the story of the Nikola Jokić era could pretty easily be spun as one of underachievement, even with the injuries and 2023 title. Of the nine 3x MVPs, Jokić and Moses Malone are the only two without multiple championships.

Did you know… Nikola Jokic has the *exact* same number of WCF & Finals appearances as Luka Doncic. The only difference being he got to face an 7th seeded Heat while Luka teed off against an all-time #1 seeded Boston team in the Finals, so Joker has the ring. Outside that title run, Nuggets have grossly underachieved. now going down 3-1 in a must win game vs Wolves team w/o Ant or Dante.. Jokic will now be 2-5 in the 2nd round. Jokic has entered playoffs below a 5 seed ONCE, in ‘22 when he lost to Dubs in 1st round. This season would be Luka’s first yr entering the playoffs higher than a 5 seed… & it’s the 4 seed. Despite this, he still has same number of WCF & Finals appearances as Jokic. All but one series has Luka entered as the favored team w home court advantage. despite all this, the narratives around each player are grossly different. idk. I think it’s time Joker at least faces the same scrutiny they love to throw at Luka, despite one having a record of rising & over achieving, while the other under achieves & would rather be riding horses.
