@TFFDudes James cook value is such a mystery - I’ve tried to shop him around but no one will give up anything close to his “value” (according to KTC, trade charts etc). Last off-season, best I was able to extract was 2 seconds which I rejected. It’s so weird to me given his production.

Fair bit of good news in the injury report. Yeo a test, Hutchinson Murdock and Rodriguez just around the corner. At the very least better availability will hopefully make us more competitive in the WAFL.

Pretty sure James Hird at pick 79, Chris Grant at pick 105, Dane Swan at pick 58 and Dean Cox in the rookie draft have Murphy Reid at pick 17 covered quite comfortably.

@AussieNinerGuy @footyindustryAU Yeah they’ve been 15 odd years as I said but they’re the only one. Teams regularly rebound from bottom to top of their division (averages ones of the 8 divisions per year).

It doesnt matter what the AFL does if clubs like Essendon and Carlton operate circuses instead of football clubs. Carlton havent made a Grand Final since 1999, and even then werent a serious contender. Essendon havent won a final in so long its a meme. None of that is to do with AFL policy. The clubs are run by idiots who cant keep players happy or fit or at the clubs. Carlton in particular have had so many father/sons and number 1 draft picks that you start to question why the draft is even a thing. Then theres the Tigers. Its like they won a couple and were like "yeah we're done now, thanks for coming, see you in another 30"

@footyindustryAU @warrenwfarrow I thought he might be meaning WAFC but not sure. I do think the afl is quite compromised given they need the Suns to work. They’ve given them outrageous levels of assistance they don’t give other clubs.

@JohnnyinternetI @warrenwfarrow The AFL control 5 clubs - entirely - including both SA clubs, both NSW clubs and the Suns. The WAFC control both WA clubs entirely. All other AFL clubs are owned by members with no private or shared owners. Again, who would this apply to?

@footyindustryAU It’s not possible. Look at NBA & NFL who have teams that haven’t made finals in decades. I’d say AFL & NRL are among the best sports in the world for level comps. Drafts don’t work in my opinion. The NFL & NBA show that the player picked #1 seldomly wins a comp with that team
