@with_rhymes No it doesn't matter. Certain crimes wipe all that out. Nobody cares if you were the most nicest, perfectly behaved person on the planet. This is clearly one of THOSE crimes. There can be no mitigating factors.

Help me out here. If someone beat, sexually abused and then killed a baby, does is matter in sentencing if they "showed remorse" or were "previously of good character"? Because I really, really, really don't think it does.

@DoNoHarm79 So "mother" on a birth certificate no longer means "woman who gave birth to this baby"? Why bother with documents like this at all? They're supposed to represent a distinct, bureaucratic assertion of fact.

@Glinner Beatport actually has the best sound and no algo but it's an adjustment if you're used to Spotify or Apple Music.

A friend told me to move over to Apple Music because of the sound quality, so I did, only to discover the UI is still as shit as it was in 2015. How on earth is that possible? Did Steve Jobs hate music so much that he told even his successors not to fix it?

@salltweets I read a book called Backlash - by Susan Faludi - years ago and thought she was overreacting, possibly deranged. She said that there would be a dreadful, almost insane-seeming range of responses to various feminist gains. One of them was this sort of scenario and she was right.
